Pink Drum Sets Make Great Child Drums for Girls

pink kids drum set 150x150 Pink Drum Sets Make Great Child Drums for GirlsChoosing a drum set color is a very personal thing but when choosing a color for a child drum set you better be especially careful. Kids are of course very picky when it comes to the color of everything, their clothes, their toys, and of course their drum sets so if you pick the wrong color toy drum set you might as well have given them an oboe to play with.

This is especially true with girls, who after all are much more color and fashion conscious than boys. I've learned the hard way with my little girl that if something isn't one of her primary colors (pink, purple, or yellow), its going to be an issue.

Today’s Kids Drum Sets are Really Not Toys

blue kids drum set 150x150 Todays Kids Drum Sets are Really Not ToysDue to the popularity of musically-inspired video games like guitar hero, many children have expressed an interest in getting starting on a musical instrument.  Kids drum sets are one very popular category of child instruments.  But, before you run out and start shopping for your child's drum set, you should understand the difference between a child drum set and 'toys'.

This is one of the reasons why so many professional musicians continue criticized games like guitar hero.  Specifically, they believe these games give children the false impression that learning music is easy and that once kids find out that its not so easy, they quickly give up on it. While this trend might be good for profits at the local music store, it may actually have a negative affect on next generation of musicians.

In this article we are going to be taking a look at kids drum sets and why they are most assuredly not toys.  A kid's drum set of today is essentially a miniature version of a full drum set,  smaller but generally a quality instrument. And although guitars are all the rage because of the many   games, drums are also very popular and can be great learning instruments for children as well.  (And take it from us, they don't hurt the fingers like a guitar either!!).

Toy Drum Sets Are Both Fun and Developmental

toy drum set 150x150 Toy Drum Sets Are Both Fun and DevelopmentalWe all know children can have an almost endless amount of energy, but if you had a toy drum set, you might find that they are able to release some of that built up energy. Wouldn't it be nice to find a safe, fun and educational outlet for all that energy? A great way to get them to learn about music would be to purchase a toy drum set.

Toy drum sets are smaller versions of actual drum sets.  Children can learn that playing music is a blast and the toy drum set is a great way to make that music.  It is a great way to broaden your child's mind, giving him the chance to have fun and exercise his or her mind.  Having toy drums can give your child a better sense of responsibility when shown that this is an instrument and not a toy.  Even though it can be used just for fun.

Have a Future Rock Star? Consider a Junior Drum Set.

3 piece junior drum kit1 150x150 Have a Future Rock Star? Consider a Junior Drum Set.With the growing popularity of music-inspired games like guitar hero, many children have gotten interested in real musical instruments.  But what is a parent to do if they don't know anything about musical instruments?  Well, one option is to buy your child a junior drum set.

Drums are fun not only because they form the foundation of any band as they form rhythm and beats, but also because they physically active which kids love.  Many young children simply may not possess the discipline or patience to sit down and learn chord structure on a piano or a guitar.  Not to mention the fact that a piano is rarely part of a rock band!
